Many guys are afraid of white pants for several reasons; the chances of getting them dirty, the chances of them looking like they're always on vacation or some other reason that I'm too lost in the moment to come up with. I never understood why guys don't think twice about wearing a white t-shirt, bu think five times before wearing a pair of white jeans. For your convenience and confidence, this is the first installment of the "3 Ways to Wear White Denim" series.
This first look here is my favorite way to wear white jeans: use them as a conservative foundation, then go CRAZY up top. You may or may not be red-jacket ready, but in case you are just make sure you consult with me before wearing something like this in public. I'd probably avoid wearing this at a partner's parents' (or even your parents') home or they might ask "Have you been reading that blog again?"?
Go with a solid, conservative bow tie with this (maybe in a navy, dark green, or dark grey) to pull this off if you're a starter. If you're feeling bold, look for a bow with a statement print in it.
On your feet you can go with a solid, conservative foundation like these chocolate brown bucs from Joseph Abboud, a quality menswear brand who I've always been a fan of. Don't forget to cuff the jeans bro.
